Westminster Welcomes New Athletic Trainer Lauren Olson

We are excited to welcome Lauren Olson as the newest member of the athletics team. Lauren recently moved to St. Louis from Seattle and is looking forward to serving Westminster student-athletes throughout the upcoming school year.

Lauren brings 11 years of athletic training experience to Westminster. A native of Seattle, she earned her degree from George Fox University in the Portland, Oregon, area and has worked in a variety of junior colleges, high schools, and physical therapy clinics throughout the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, she spent three years as the athletic trainer at Interlake High School in Bellevue, Washington.

Her passion for sports medicine began through her own experience as an athlete. Growing up as a figure skater, Lauren benefited firsthand from the expertise and care of athletic trainers and physical therapists. Those experiences inspired her to pursue a career in which she could provide the same support and care to other athletes.

Lauren’s move to St. Louis is also part of a new adventure for her family. Her husband, David, recently accepted a position with Saint Louis University's baseball program as its hitting coach. The couple decided the opportunity was the perfect time to begin a new chapter together in St. Louis.

"I am grateful for the warm St. Louis and WCA welcome I have received," Olson shared. "I am very excited to join the athletics team here and am looking forward to a great school year ahead!"

Welcome to Westminster, Lauren!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Brooke VunCannon for five years of excellent service as the Athletics trainer at Westminster. We wish her the best in her next career and are thankful and blessed to have had her as part of the Westminster Athletics Family.
