The 2025-26 Scholar Bowl season finished this past weekend with an impressive showing from the Wildcats, who earned a 4th-place finish at the Missouri State Scholar Bowl Competition.

At State, Westminster competed against some of the strongest academic programs in Missouri, going 2-2 on the day and delivering several standout performances. One of the team's biggest victories came against Washington High School, a well-developed, deep program, and the favorites going into the tournament.

Led by rookie coach Jason Polk, the Wildcats' chemistry and collaborative approach were on full display throughout the competition. Despite being one of the least experienced teams, Westminster demonstrated remarkable composure and academic skill, giving an exciting glimpse of what the team will be capable of in the future. Ultimately, it was the team's inexperience in major competitions that led to a few unforced errors, preventing a run at the State title.

"[I am] very proud of the whole team," says Coach Polk. "It was a great experience all around, and we will definitely be a better team next year for the lessons learned."
