In December 2025, senior Noah Adamson's artwork, “Grandad Forgot to Leave Out Meat for the Deer in his Backyard,” received a First Place Award and will be included in the Missouri State University’s Virtual Juried Exhibition for High School Art and Design Students.

This year's competition was highly competitive, with 728 submitted works from high school students across 10 states. All 728 submitted works were reviewed and judged by a panel of jurors, including Missouri State University's Department Head of Art & Design, Dr. Mitzi Kirkland-Ives. "It was an honor for the jurors, the Galleries Director, and me to review the works submitted and see the very high caliber of work being created in high school classrooms," said Dr. Kirkland-Ives.

Of the 728 submitted works, 321 were accepted for the exhibition, and only three earned scholarships. As the First Place Award recipient, Noah was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from Missouri State University in recognition of the originality, craftsmanship, and artistic strength of his work. First among such a vast number of works, Noah's accomplishment is especially noteworthy.

We are incredibly proud of Noah for this significant achievement and for his dedication to the arts. Congratulations, Noah, on this well-deserved honor!
