On February 4, senior Laila Anderson was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of her remarkable impact on the St. Louis sports community.

Laila Anderson's inspiring story has captured the hearts of many within the St. Louis community and sports fans nationwide. After being diagnosed with a rare and potentially life-threatening immune disorder, Laila's resilience and positive spirit earned her local and national attention as she passionately supported the St. Louis Blues and formed bonds with players and fans during the team's historic 2019 Stanley Cup run. That year, Laila also received the Musial Award for Extraordinary Character for demonstrating remarkable poise, perseverance, and overall sportsmanship. Today, Laila continues to embody courage and leadership as she uses her story to inspire others.

Alongside Laila, several other well-known St. Louis athletes were inducted into the Hall of Fame, such as former boxer Devon Alexander, former Rams linebacker Mike Jones, former Blues left wing (and friend of Laila's) Pat Maroon, and former Westminster parent, coach, and Cardinals pitcher Todd Worrell. Todd played 11 seasons in Major League Baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers, was named the 1986 National League Rookie of the Year, and earned three All-Star selections during his career. After retiring from professional baseball (and with his four children attending Westminster in the 2000s), Todd was deeply invested in our school community, coaching Wildcats baseball for many years and even helping build new dugouts at the Ladue Road campus.

Congratulations, Laila and Todd. Everyone at Westminster celebrates this well-deserved honor and the inspiration you bring to our students and community. Your contributions have made a lasting impact on both the St. Louis sports community and Westminster Christian Academy.
