Fall

Cross Country

Girls – Junior Bella Holohan was Westminster’s individual state qualifier for the Class 5 Cross Country State Meet, finishing in 66th place.

Boys – The boys cross country team won the Class 3 District Championship and finished the season in 2nd place in the Class 3 State Meet. Juniors Cruz Thomas (6th) and Theo DeBoer (26th) were individual medalists, with Thomas setting a personal record and the third-fastest time in school history (16:04.50), just 0.4 seconds behind former standout David Everett ‘11.

Esports

The varsity esports team had two players, competing in Super Smash Bros. solos, advance to the MOSEF State Tournament (Fall Brawl). Freshman Jakob Kekhaev finished in 5th place, and freshman Jake Gentry finished in 9th.

Field Hockey

The field hockey team finished the season in the Sweet Sixteen round of the playoffs.

Football

Westminster football ended the year with its third straight winning season, finishing with a 6-5 record. A new school record for longest punt return was also set this year with junior Charlie Beckemeier’s 94-yard touchdown.

Golf

Girls – Senior Caroline Domyan qualified for the State Meet for the third time in her high school career. This year, the Meet took place at Sedalia Country Club, where Domyan finished T-41.

Soccer

Boys – Led by 12 seniors, the boys soccer team finished the season with a 17-4 record after a narrow loss in the District Semifinal.

Softball

The softball team finished the season with an impressive 23-8 record. The Wildcats won the Class 4 District 2 Championship and ultimately ended their season in the State Quarterfinal.

Swim

Boys – The boys swim team qualified for the State Meet in three events (200 Medley Relay, 100 Free, 100 Breast) led by freshmen Tyson Brooks and Jason Kraft and juniors Harrison Frost and Jack Stewart. Frost earned two medals at State while setting two new school records, bringing his personal total to five individual records.

Tennis

Girls – The girls tennis team won the District Championship with a 5-4 win over Parkway West. Seniors Edde Sue Doehring and Hadley Hackmann also qualified for the State Doubles Tournament.

Volleyball

Girls – The girls volleyball team finished the year with a 26-8-1 record, ending their season as the Class 5 District 3 Runner-Ups. Seniors Sophia Arana and Vivian Sharlow eclipsed a career milestone of 1,000 assists.

Winter

Basketball

Boys Basketball — The boys basketball team finished the year with an impressive 20-8 record, ending the season in the District Semifinal. Junior Will Powers finished the year 2nd in career points for Westminster Boys Basketball. 

Girls Basketball — The girls basketball team ended the year in the District Semifinal with an 11-10 record. Senior Addi Drumm was named the District Player of the Year.

Ice Hockey

The team finished their season in the semi-final round of the Founders Cup, having entered the competition as the #7 seed.

Swim

Girls — 14 girls qualified for the Class 2 Swim & Dive State Meet with four earning medals: senior Taylor Synowiec, 3rd place - 1M  Dive; senior Gigi DeMaggio, freshman Amelia Holohan, senior Edde Sue Doehring, and sophomore Lauren McCall, 4th place - 200 Medley Relay; Doehring, DeMaggio, senior Karly Keske, and McCall, 5th place - 200 Free Relay; DeMaggio, 5th place - 100 Backstroke.

Wrestling

Boys Wrestling — This year’s team had a young roster with no seniors. Junior Maddox Hilfrink qualified for the State Tournament in the 138lb weight class and looks to lead the team again next season.

Spring

Baseball

The Westminster baseball team finished the regular season with a 19-15 record and received the #1 seed in their district. The team also won the Metro League Championship with an 8-3 record in league play before going on to win the District Championship for the first time since 2019. At the Class 4 State Tournament, the team took 4th, finishing with a record of 23-17.

Golf 

Boys — Senior Charlie Kruse qualified for his third state golf tournament, medaling for the second time with a T-13th place finish.

Lacrosse 

Boys — For the first time since the program relaunched in 2024, the boys lacrosse team fielded both a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. With interest growing, the team’s future is very bright.

Girls — The girls lacrosse team finished the regular season 8-7 and received the #8 seed in the Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association playoffs, where they reached the round of 16.

Soccer

Girls — The girls soccer team finished the year with a 12-7 record and received the #1 seed in their district, going on to win the District Championship at home.

Tennis 

Boys — The boys tennis team finished the year with an incredible 13-3 record, winning the District Championship and going on to win both Individual State Championships: Senior Noah Suthar, Singles; junior Henry Schloss and senior Owen Legters, Doubles. Noah became the first Singles Champion in school history (boys or girls).

Track & Field

The track & field team advanced past Districts in 6 events: Boys 4x800 Relay (sophomores Luca Campo and Adam Koenig, junior Cruz Thomas, and senior Josiah Bailey), Girls High Jump (senior Aunika Groat), Girls Triple Jump (sophomore Mackenzie Ikeda), Long Jump (Mackenzie), 100m Dash (senior Gabe Lee), and the Boys Triple Jump (senior Joah Noack). Joah and Mackenzie later qualified for the Class 5 State Meet in Jefferson City in the Triple Jump, where Joah placed 10th, and Mackenzie placed 14th.

Volleyball 

Boys — The boys volleyball team finished the season in the District Quarterfinal. The program saw growth, reaching its largest number of athletes in the last three seasons.
