Our media arts and communication courses ensure students create the connection between content knowledge, professional application, and the integration of faith through real work that restores communities for Jesus.
At Westminster, we want our students to have the opportunity to explore their creativity in many different forms including journalism. To that end, our media arts courses, as part of our Business & Communications department, allow students to pursue journalistic opportunities through our school newspaper, yearbook, and broadcast teams.

From the Westminster Studio
Westminster's broadcast team produces monthly news shows keeping our student body up to date with exciting information about the Westminster community, upcoming events, and more. They also produce other fun projects such as Westminster Tonight, our late-night style show.
Our broadcast studio features state-of-the-art equipment, including dozens of cameras and lights, as well as a film studio and recording booth.

Extra, Extra!
Students interested in newspaper have the opportunity to join 800 News, our small media business, to produce The Wildcat Roar and learn about, journalism, media, and much more. The Wildcat Roar has received four Distinguished Sites awards from School Newspapers Online (SNO) for excellence.
Highlighting the Year
Students in yearbook are given the opportunity to demonstrate progress as designers, writers, innovators, editors, and leaders. In 2024, our yearbook team received a First Class distinction with Marks of Distinction for Coverage, Design, and Photography from the National Scholastic Press Association.
