Academic Advisory encourages students to take ownership and responsibility for monitoring their academic progress.

Each week, students are provided two separate blocks of time to assess their current academic standing. Students may use this time to make up quizzes and/or tests, finish assigned homework, catch up on missing work, or seek help from teachers.

Middle School

Academic Connect is an opportunity for middle school students to connect with their teachers and address areas where they need help. Students grow as they benefit from re-teaching stations, conferencing, test preparation centers, recovery work, project completion, and online tutorials in mathematics or typing skills. Academic Connect, available four days a week at the end of the school day, also provides study time for students.

Upper School

Upper School Connect is a daily flex period designed to provide upper school students with structured opportunities for academic support, enrichment, and personal growth. During this time, students can seek immediate feedback, address academic challenges, or engage in enrichment activities, reducing homework stress and accommodating extracurricular commitments. With a focus on accountability, students who demonstrate academic responsibility and proactive communication enjoy a college-like atmosphere where they are free to utilize shared spaces or, for seniors, the freedom to study off-campus. Those needing more guidance receive targeted support to encourage growth in self-governance.

The Hub supports and enhances curricular and co-curricular programs by encouraging students to become critical Christian thinkers. It is a place where students can get work done during study hall and also functions as an extension of the classroom for many of our teachers.

The Math Center provides additional support for students regarding any concept found within our extensive math curriculum. Students can seek help from our experienced math tutors before and after school, during study hall, or over lunch.

Westminster partners with the St. Louis County Library for access to online data and reference resources.

Westminster is committed to meeting the educational needs of families with students who have a diagnosed disability that impacts learning. We offer families enrollment in our full-time or consultative services.

Pathways

Pathways services are designed for students with diagnosed learning disabilities, language processing impairments, and/or attention deficit hyperactive disorder. The Pathways program offers limited remedial work in reading and writing and primarily runs parallel to and supports the existing curriculum by providing accommodations for and adaptations to each student’s classes.

Gifted Program

Westminster’s gifted program supports the educational, spiritual, and social-emotional needs of gifted students. Gifted teachers help each student understand and embrace their learning profile while confidently seeking and managing academic coursework.
