Welcome to Westminster Christian Academy, where faith and learning unite in a life-transforming way.
At Westminster, we believe true education is about shaping the whole person by nurturing both the mind and the heart. Our commitment is to partner with Christian families to provide an education rooted in biblical truth, rigorous in the pursuit of wisdom and knowledge, and transformative in its impact on students’ lives.
A No Compromise Education
Many areas of life require compromise, but the education of our children should not be one of them. We passionately believe that Christian parents should not have to choose between an excellent education that prepares their children for college and career and one that nurtures their hearts and character. A true education will place equal emphasis on the minds and hearts of students, never compromising one for the other.
Faithfulness to Biblical Teaching
Our mission is to honor Jesus Christ by providing an exceptional education rooted in biblical truth for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that worldview into every area of life. In fulfilling this mission, we prepare and equip our students to engage the world and change it for Jesus Christ.
As Christian educators, we believe we have the responsibility and privilege to integrate biblical truth into every aspect of school life—academic, artistic, and athletic—so that our students are not conformed to this world but are transformed by God’s word (Romans 12:2) and learn to take “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
The 3Rs of a Westminster Christian Academy Education
Relationships
Effective teaching hinges on healthy relationships. Our work at WCA is not a career but a calling rooted deeply in caring for students and each other. Students are seen, cared for, supported, and nurtured. As a result, they feel more confident taking risks and see setbacks as learning opportunities, not failures. Candid, thoughtful, and lively conversations take place in our classrooms. The environment invites deep learning and fosters life-long friendships.
Rigor
We do not interpret rigor in the traditional sense. Instead, we see rigor not as “more” but as “better.” Rigor is a means of teaching students to problem-solve and think critically. Students are asked to wrestle with complex concepts and issues independently. As students draw conclusions and make connections across subjects, they grow confident in their ability to take increased responsibility for their learning. They begin to own their learning and their Christian faith, thus preparing themselves for college and career.
Restoration
We live in a fallen, broken, and confused world. A Westminster Christian Academy education seeks to bring intellectual calm from chaos, moral clarity from moral confusion, beauty from ugliness, and unity and peace from disharmony and conflict. Students learn to see nature’s awe-inspiring beauty, complexity, diversity, and elegance as the product of God’s creativity, not chance. Students become not just the beholders of beauty but the creators of it. They learn that their worth, and that of others, does not come from what they do or possess but from the fact that God created them, they bear his image, are deeply loved by him, and have a purpose for their lives. Students learn to use their newly acquired wisdom, knowledge, and skills to make a positive difference in their lives and communities.
Caring, World-Class Christian Teachers
A school is only as good as its teachers. This is why we recruit and hire some of the finest Christian teachers in the country. Our teachers are highly credentialed, gifted Christian professionals who genuinely care for their students and are experts in their subjects. Our students experience the richness of an extraordinary world-class education rooted in biblical truth and delivered by caring, extraordinarily gifted Christian teachers who place equal emphasis on the development of students’ minds and hearts. Our graduates enter the world of college and career secure in their faith, well prepared for the opportunities and challenges before them.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Christian parents in providing their children with a Christ-honoring, world-class, life-transforming Christian education.
