We are thrilled to celebrate Westminster’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of unwavering commitment to Christ-centered, college-preparatory education and leadership development.
Since our founding in 1976 with just one graduating senior, Westminster has grown into a vibrant academic community, with over 5,000 alumni who are making a positive impact across the globe in fields such as business, the arts, science, medicine, ministry, engineering, education, and more.

A Look Back in Photos

Through the Years
1976
Westminster welcomed 72 students who embraced a Christian worldview within their education.
1978
Westminster transitioned its campus to a small elementary school building in Des Peres.
1982
Board members put up their homes as collateral to secure a loan to purchase the Ladue Road campus in Creve Coeur.
1985
Jim Marsh was hired as Westminster's fourth head of school.
1987
The Faith in Action program was launched.
1990
The first Spirit Week kicked off.
1990s
Significant enrollment growth prompted the Board to approve a $9 million expansion; the school quickly filled to capacity.
2003
To serve more families, the Westminster community took a big step of faith to purchase 40-acres of property in Town and Country for $14.25 million, all with borrowed funds.
2007
An unexpected $7.1 million gift allowed Westminster to purchase an additional 30-acres of property situated next to the previously purchased 40-acres.
2011
Westminster’s current 70-acre, world-class Town and Country campus opened.
2021
WestminsterYOU launched offering students an innovative approach to learning.
