Dr. Sefrit sends our Final Four Volleyball Team off to State with a Prayer and Inspiring Devotion

Jeremiah 9:23-24 states; This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord.

LADY WILDCAT VOLLEYBALL TEAM IN MISSOURI CLASS 3 FINAL FOUR!!!

If you have not yet heard the news, our varsity Wildcats volleyball team is going to State! The Cats played their best match of the season so far and dominated perennial powerhouse Duchesne in the first round of Sectionals on Saturday, 25-20 and 25-16. That set up a Quarterfinal match against Boonville to determine who would advance to State Final Four. The Pirates were no match for the fierce serving of Kali Stewart, Lauren O'Leary and Leah Beck (who at one point served for 13 straight points!), or the relentless attacking of Kaitlyn Pfeifer, Katie Weber and Kelli Stipanovich and great team defense by all. The Cats ran away with the match, 25-12 and 25-8. They will travel to Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg to play on Friday at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Depending on how they fare on Friday, they will play on Saturday either in the championship match at 5:30 p.m. or in the third place match at 8:30 p.m. Make travel plans now to come on out (WAY OUT!) to Warrensburg and cheer the Cats on as they continue their relentless pursuit of a State Championship!

Lady Wildcats are Westminster's newest District Champions!!!

The varsity Wildcats’ volleyball team began their run at the District Championship last night with a semi-final match victory over MICDS. That set up a championship match against archrival Villa Duchesne. The gym at Viz was packed, and both teams brought their "A" games for the battle. Villa ran out to an early 7-1 game one lead, but the Cats stormed back to tie at 8-8. The teams would trade points until game one was tied at 22-22. The Cats finally pounded Villa into submission to claim the first game, 25-22. The second game started out just like the first as the Cats fell behind again, only to claw their way back. After being tied 18-18, the Cats pulled away on tremendous blocking, back-row defense and attacking, winning the game, match and District Championship 25-19! The Cats next advance to Sectionals to take on perennial powerhouse Duchesne in the first round at St. Charles High this Saturday at 3:00 pm. It should be another epic battle!
A special thanks goes out to all of you Blue Crew fans who attended last night and so enthusiastically supported the Lady Cats. They could not have done it without you!
