Four Great Runs at State Cross Country Meet
The cross country team performed very well at the state meet on Saturday, November 7. Freshman Laura Tarantino finished 47 out of 150 runners and senior Julie Sharp just missed all-state honors with a 32nd-place finish. Congratulations to Julie on a fine four-year cross country career in which she made four trips to State. On the boys side junior Danny Keith, though sick, finished a respectable 68 out of 150 runners. The performance of the day, however, was by junior David Everett, who finished third in the Class 3 race. This is the second year in a row that David has earned all-state honors.
Varsity Soccer Wins First Ever District Championship!
The Wildcats came out ROARING against Clayton to win their first ever district title. Please come support them as they play St. Dominic at the A-B Soccer Park in Fenton on Thursday, November 12 at 6 p.m. There will be parking and admission charges.
Varsity Soccer Wins District Semi-Final Against Priory
Congratulations to the varsity soccer team who won their district semi-final match by defeating St. Louis Priory 2-1 in overtime. Even though Priory was initially up 1-0, the team came back by supporting senior Connor Hunsicker as he scored both Westminster goals. Please come support the team as they play at and against Clayton High School on Thursday, November 5 at 4 p.m. in the district final. A win would be the first district title in school history—come be a part of this special game!
Football Wildcats Win Districts and Need You at Sectionals!
For the second time in Westminster history, the football team won districts in a muddy battle against Duchesne High School. They now play the Normandy Vikings on Wednesday, November 4 at 7 p.m. for sectionals. The Wildcats need you all to come and ROAR them on to victory. Admission is $5.
Four Runners Qualify for State Cross Country Meet
Two boys and two girls from the cross country teams qualified for the state meet in Jefferson City on Saturday, November 6. Senior Julie Sharp qualified with a fifth-place finish, and freshman Laura Tarantino qualified with a tenth-place finish in the Saturday, October 31 meet. Junior David Everett won the district meet to qualify for his third state appearance. Junior Danny Keith earned his first trip to the state meet by finishing in sixth place at the district meet.
