WCA Golf History was made by Junior Adam Fletcher!
Yesterday (3/14) WCA golf history was made as Adam Fletcher accomplished one of the rarest feats in golf (even rarer than a hole in one) Adam had a double eagle on a par five which means he hit his shot into the hole in two strokes! When asked about his accomplishment Adam attributed it to his athletic prowess and natural golf swing (never mind the fact that the ball hit some two or three trees and then bounced onto the green and went into the hole). When you see Adam, congratulate him with a big hug or a high five.

Westminster golf team defeat Principia & tie Burroughs in first match of the season
The Westminster guys golf team came out swinging in their first match of the season pummeling Principia and tying John Burroughs. Dave Wilkinson was the low score amongst all the players with a 40, while Matt Leeker and Peter Boggs followed close behind with 41's. Great start to the season guys! Wildcats Golf Team defeats Clayton
The Wldcats golf team continued to roll with a no doubt win over Clayton- the final score when the dust settled was 256 to 286. Matt Leeker was the medalist with a 40 closely followed by Dave Wilkinson with a 41 and then Khris Stillman, Ben Davis and Peter Boggs all contributed with 43's. Matt Leeker shot a 37 for low round of the day
Congratulations to the golf team for their outstanding effort competing against a strong SLUH golf team. The match went down to the wire with the Cats being led by Matt Leeker who shot the low round of the day with a 37. All totaled the team had 4 scores in the 30's which is on fire! The other scores included Khris Stillman 38, Peter Boggs 39, Ben Davis 39 and a solid 41 for Dave Wilkinson. When all was said and done WCA tied SLUH 221 to 221. Great job guys! Wildcats lose by only five stokes to division rival Priory
The Wildcats golf team had a grinding, knockdown battle against division rival Priory yesterday. WCA was lead by Dave Wilkinson and Peter Boggs who both shot 6 over par following close behind Ben Davis, Matt Leeker and Paul Duffy who all shot 7 over par- when all was said and done Priory came out on top 216 to 221. Forest Hills Golf Course par 30- 4/10/06- Priory 216 Vs WCA 221 Priory had the low score with a 33. Wildcat golfers win big over St. Charles Lutheran
After a rough outing yesterday the Wildcats came roaring back with an impressive win over a good Lutheran St. Charles team beating them by 16 strokes 210 to 226. Dave Wilkinson led all golfers by shooting the only score in the 30's for the day with a blazing two over par 37. Khris Stillman and Paul Duffy helped secure the win with 42's and Peter Boggs added to the cause with a 43. Great win guys! Wildcats soundly defeat Bishop DuBourg
The golf team put on a dominating performance yesterday on the links with 3 guys shooting in the 30's. The final score was WCA 157 vs DuBourg 239. Khris Stillman led the way with a 2 over par 37 that was the low round of the day. Following close behind were Dave Wilkinson with a 38 and Peter Boggs with a 39. Varsity Golf has impressing showing against Alton
In their most impressive showing to date the guys golf team put it all together on Wednesday with Paul Duffy, Matt Leeker and Adam Fletcher all shooting 2 over par 38s. Ben Davis contributed in the win with a 40 along with Peter Boggs who shot a 42. The final score was WCA 240 Vs Alton with a 283. Because all three guys tied on WCA with 38s there was an exciting one hole playoff to determine the official individual winner. The playoff was won by Paul Duffy who drained a 40 foot putt to secure the individual award. Congratulations on an outstanding day golf team! Golf team places third in ABC Tournament
ABC Tournament- par 71- WCA 330- 3rd Place Peter Boggs- 79- 4th place Matt Leeker- 83- 12th place Khris Stillman 84- 15th place Dave Wilkinson- 87 Paul Duffy- 88 The golf team had a good showing placing 3rd overall in the ABC tournament. The team was led by sophomore Peter Boggs who shot a sizzling 79 to place 4th overall. Matt Leeker shot an 83 for 12th place and Khris Stillman contributed with an 84, good for 15th place. Wish them well today as they place defending state champions MICDS in preparing for districts next week.

Varsity Golf Team plays consistent but still drop match to MICDS
The golf team played well yesterday led by Ben Davis who shot a 41 followed closely by Khris Stillman, Peter Boggs, Paul Duffy and Matt Leeker who all shot 42's. Despite the consistent play of the Cats, MICDS played better and won the match. Wildcat golfers - WCA ambassadors - finish 2nd in District match
There is not enough space in the announcements to recount how well the golf team represented WCA yesterday at Districts. Out of 11 teams WCA took 2nd by a meager 6 strokes to last year's state champion (and in all likelihood this year's state champion) MICDS. Matt Leeker led the way for the cats coming in 2nd place overall (out of 55 golfers) missing 1st by 1 stroke. Matt shot a 2 over par (yes you just heard that correctly 2 over par) 74- Matt also shot the best round for 9 holes on his back nine with a 1 under par 35! Ben Davis helped the cats to their 2nd place finish with an 83 which gave Ben a 10th place finish followed by Khris Stillman, Dave Wilkinson & Peter Boggs who all shot 84's which gave them 11th place finishes. Congratulate all these guys for their outstanding performances- they should be very proud for how they represented WCA. WCA GOLFERS COMPETE AT STATE
WCA was well represented at the State golf tournament on Monday and Tuesday with Matt Leeker shooting an 82 on Monday and an 83 on Tuesday. Ben Davis was right behind with an 84 and an 83. These were great scores on a very tough course in windy/rainy conditions. Congratulate these 2 guys along with the team for how they played this year and how they did WCA proud.
