Shane Benes had three hits, including his sixth home run of the season and four RBIs, to lead the Cats to an 8-1 win over Lutheran-South yesterday 5/1. Tyler Catlett made a diving catch in centerfield and threw a runner out at the plate. Davis Vanderslice went 6 2/3 on the bump to pick up his fifth win of the season. The Cats are now 22-3 on the season and will play at home on Saturday 5/4 in a double header as well as next week Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Come out and watch some great baseball.

Ben Lovell broke a school record
..when he picked up his twenty-fourth career win as the Cats defeated the Bombers from John Burroughs 8 – 3. Tyler Catlett provided the bulk of the offense with two hits. The Cats travel to Lutheran-South today 4/18 to take on their league rival.

The varsity boys’ baseball team defeated Cuyahoga Valley Christian 9 – 3 and O’Fallon Christian 10 – 0 on Saturday 4/6 to finish the first half of their season with 14 wins and only two losses. In the first game, Tyler Catlett drove in four runs with two hits while Brennan Hehner earned his third win on the bump. In the second game Brett Bond drove in four runs with two hits while Jordan Smith went the distance on the hill for his second shutout. This week the Cats travel to Parkway-West Mon 4/8, Summit 4/9 and host JBS on Thursday 4/11.
Cats win Home Opener!
In the home opener yesterday the varsity baseball team drubbed Priory 15 – 1. Bryce Bell, Shane Benes, Brett Bond, and Collin Einertson each collected two hits. Luke Matheny was the winning pitcher. Saturday 4/6 the Cats play at home at 9:00 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m.
