Team District Win Against Duchesne
Between Seth Lillenberg and Matt Reilly, the 2 only dropped 1 game on their way to victories yesterday. And while our other guys played some tough matches and lost more games, at the end of the day, all of the Westminster players came away with wins against Duchesne in the first round of team districts (post-season play). The final score was 6-0. Jimmy Myers, Cameron Smith, Nick O'Neal, Timmy Miller, Seth Lillenberg, and Matt Reilly all won their singles matches and did not have to compete in the doubles portion of the match.

SLUH match - close matches, quality win!
They're on a roll! Though the matches were all tough and many of them went to 3 sets, the Varsity boys tennis team pulled out the points when they needed them most, defeating a tough SLUH opponent 5-2. After getting beat 6-1, Cameron fought back with confidence, variety, and consistency to take the next two sets at #2 singles. Nick O'Neal had another solid win at #3 singles, 6-4, 6-4. And Timmy Miller went the distance, playing a total of 35 games before winning at #4 singles. John Hunsicker paired with Stephen Lillenberg at #2 doubles and had a rarity: they won the match in 2 back to back tiebreakers, 7-6, 7-6. But the best result may have come from our Seniors Robert Thompson and Caleb Olson who had what was quite possibly the best doubles match of their tennis careers at Westminster, digging deep, staying focused, and playing smart to win two close sets at #3 doubles.
Cats Maintain Winning Streak Against Chaminade
Another solid win, this time: 6-1. While Chaminade defaulted their #1 singles position, Cameron Smith, Nick O'Neal, and Timmy Miller all cleaned up on their singles courts (#2, #3, and #4 respectively). The doubles pairings of Jimmy Myers/Matt Reilly and John Hunsicker/Stephen Lillenberg won in straight sets.
