Worrell tosses no-hitter to win Districts (4peat)
Jacob Worrell tossed a no-hitter yesterday as the Cats shut out Burroughs 4 - 0 for their 4th straight district title. The Cats scored two in the 3rd on singles by Beck and Ferrara and a double by Jacob Turner. In the 4th the Cats came up with another run when Weststeyn singled, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on a ground ball and came home on a ground out by Beck. The final tally came in the 6th on a single by Matheny, a ground ball, an error, and a single by Worrell. Tate Matheny made a diving catch to end the game, preserve the no-hitter, the shutout, and the victory.
Turner strikes out 13 in WCA win over Clayton
The varsity baseball team defeated Clayton 4 - 0 yesterday to advance to the championship game today against Burroughs at MICDS at 4:15. Jacob Turner struck out 13 Greyhounds and gave up only two hits to win his 7th game of the season. The Cats scored one in the 4th on a sacrifice fly by Jacob Worrell and three more in the fifth on a bunt single by Michael Ferrara, a single by Jacob Turner, a walk to Ryan Allee, a double by Tate Matheny and a Greyhound error.
Weststeyn and Matheny hit homeruns as Wildcats win first District game
On Saturday the varsity baseball team opened district play with a 9 - 6 win over Principia. Tate Matheny and Justin Weststeyn each had two hits including a home run. Justin Weststeyn was the winning pitcher. Today, in the second round of district play, the Cats travel to John Burroughs to play a 4:15 game against Clayton.

Today's district game, Westminster vs. Principia, has been changed to 4pm at Westminster. Come out and cheer on your Wildcats!!!
