Tennis Past Midnight in Belleville
The Belleville East Tournament only featured the doubles portion due to rain and a cancelled singles draw. While we had many dedicated and amazing fans there (parents, of course), the prize has to go to Mark DeRousse who watched his son Brandon pair with Joe Hunsicker to win the backdraw - and then, even though the match ended at 1:00 AM, Mark immediately drove his family on a 3 hour trip to Murray State. Woah! Congratulations to Joe and Brandon who stuck it out into the wee hours of the morning with some great tennis along the way.
Really, thanks to all the parents who supported their sons and our team in less than perfect viewing conditions.
Keffer/Munson went 1-2 in the tournament, as did Schoenberg/Lillenberg - but both teams played some tough and quality along the way.
