Town & Country Campus News
- On Monday, January 11, the Westminster Association voted unanimously to
approve the sale of our Creve Coeur campus to the Ladue School District
for $18 million. This venture, a fair price and momentous blessing, is
a crucial step as we move forward with our campaign and the
construction of the new Westminster Town & Country campus, located at the Maryville Center Drive exit off of Hwy 40/I-64. We
consider this opportunity a “win-win” both for the Ladue School
District as they respond to their facility needs and for Westminster
Christian Academy as we focus on our long-term vision.
Ladue will seek to receive approval of the sale of bonds on an April
2010 ballot. If the sale is completed, we will be able to begin
construction on our new campus in fall 2010, while continuing to
operate in our current facility. The Ladue School District will lease
the facility back to Westminster from the date of the closing of the
sale until June 30, 2012.
Westminster Christian Academy is currently preparing transition plans,
finalizing construction costs, and refining capital campaign plans. Please visit www.facebook.com/westminstercampaign for the latest news about the campaign and possible campus transition plans.
