Criteria for Admission
Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and to integrate that view into every area of life.
The essential component for admission is the requirement that one or both parents are professing Christians as evidenced by confession of faith in Christ as Lord and Savior. A family interview will be conducted by a member of the Westminster Christian School Board of Directors to verify a Christian testimony from both parents and ascertain agreement with the school’s statement of faith. The interview is scheduled after the written portion of the application is received.
Additional steps in the admissions process:
- Application for Admission: Student and Parent Application (Section A & B). The student response section should be completed by the applicant in his/her own handwriting.
- Application Fee: The $50 application fee should be submitted with the student and parent application.
- Academic Records: Request an official transcript from the applicant’s present school (Section C). This includes current grades, immunization records, behavior record, and standardized testing scores. Transcripts must be legible.
- Teacher Recommendation: Request a recommendation from a teacher of one of the applicant’s core subjects. Use the form provided (Section D).
