Applying for Financial Aid
Westminster uses School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications along with a review of tax and income information in order to determine financial aid awards. All financial aid requests are confidential.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
- Complete an online financial aid application (referred to as the PFS – Parent Financial Statement) at School and Student Services by January 1 for new families and February 1 for returning families. Use SSS code #1009 in box 5 for Westminster Christian Academy.
- Download a copy of Federal Form 4506T. Complete lines 1-4. Return a signed but not dated copy of form 4506T to SSS either by mailing or uploading the copy (along with their “Required Documents” cover sheet) to SSS.
- When completed, mail or upload copies of your 2012 Federal Form 1040 with all accompanying schedules and your 2012 W-2s directly to School and Student Services (along with their “Required Documents” cover sheet). (Note that in the case of returning families who have not previously applied for aid, copies of your 2010 and 2011 tax forms will also be required.)
School and Student Services address is:
School and Student Services
P.O. Box 449
Randolph, MA 02368-0449School and Student Services’ phone number is 1.800.344.8328.
Note: If one of the parents listed in Section A on the PFS is not employed, please explain the reasons for this in the space designated in Section F. If you anticipate that you will be using services of The Learning Center, please note this as well in the space designated in Section F.
It is the opinion of the school that, regardless of the marital status of an applicant’s parents, both of the child’s natural parents share the responsibility for educating their child. Thus, wherever possible, both must comply with the filing requirements as stated above. In the case that the custodial parent has remarried, the financial situation of the stepparent will also be taken into account.
Please note: Financial aid is awarded on current assessed need. You will need to reapply every year. If your financial situation changes, your aid award may change as well.
